Commemorations are underway at Ōrākei marae in Auckland for the one-year anniversary of the Dawn Raids apology.

The government formally apologised to Pasifika people last year, and officials, Pacific community representatives and Ngāti Whātua Ōrākei have gathered today to commemorate it.
The ceremony began at dawn today.
"The concept for the celebration of the one-year anniversary of the Dawn Raids Apology is an opportunity to reflect, celebrate and look to the future through an open and transparent cultural celebratory platform," Minister for Pacific Peoples Aupito William Sio said.
