The experts will have their say in picking apart the All Blacks vs South Africa match, but you won't find more honest analysis than from tipsy rugby fans leaving the stadium after witnessing their hopes of a win die.
The All Blacks beat the Springboks, 23-13, and are now favourites to top pool B.
Just moments after the final whistle, South African supporters were already formulating a detailed account of what went wrong for their team, and what this means for their World Cup chances.
"South Africa played very well. They made a couple of small errors which the All Blacks obviously capitalised on immediately," said Waldo Orban. "They came back strong, it's very disappointing for South Africa fans."
Friends Nicola, Monique and Sam were in good spirits, possibly due to the consumption of spirits, and had a positive spin on the loss. "We always knew going into this if we lost, it was an easier way to the final.
"They have a great coach, the best coach they've had in ages, and he's gonna take us to the end. We're going to meet you [the All Blacks] in the end. And we're going to beat you in the end."
Their theory is the team will now have the loss out of their system, and they'll respond in a strong way.
But this optimism isn't shared by all South African fans, who point out the quarterfinals could mean a tough game against Ireland. "At least when you start off with a win, you're more assured of making it."
All Blacks fans, happy to take the win, were less detailed in their analysis. "We're gonna go all the way. Threepeat. Not a problem."
This confidence was balanced out with some classic Kiwi cynicism from other fans. "I wouldn't go that far," one replied straight away, after being asked if the All Blacks could go all the way.
"I think we've still got some work to do. They shouldn't get too excited now."
