Former Black Ferns star Huriana Manuel-Carpenter has been inducted into the World Rugby Hall of Fame.
Manuel-Carpenter is the only New Zealander among the six inductees in 2021.
The others are Fiji's Osea Kolinisau, Humphrey Kayange from Kenya, Australia's Cheryl McAfee, England's Will Carling and Jim Telfer from Scotland.
Manuel-Carpenter played for both the Black Ferns 15s and Black Ferns Sevens.
She captained the New Zealand Sevens team that won the inaugural World Series title and the 2013 World Cup.
She also led the Black Ferns Sevens side that won silver at the 2016 Rio Olympics. They were beaten by Australia in the final.
Manuel-Carpenter is a two-time World Cup winner in the 15s game, she was part of the Black Ferns teams that won in 2006 and 2010.
A proud Māori, she played for Auckland at provincial level.
Manuel-Carpenter, of Ngāti Tūwharetoa and Ngāpuhi iwi, scored 15 tires in 15 tests.
Her mother, Liza Mihinui, is a former Black Fern.
They are the first mother and daughter to play for the Black Ferns.
