Shane van Gisbergen has won his fourth race of the NASCAR season.

Only Denny Hamlin with five has more wins than him this year.

SVG started second on the grid.

He finished 15 seconds ahead of Kyle Larson with Christopher Bell third.

Van Gisbergen had already been eliminated from the NASCAR play-off series which is now down to eight drivers.

His Trackhouse Racing team-mate Ross Chastain was eliminated from the play-off series today.

It is van Gisbergen's fifth consecutive road or street race victory spanning back to last year.

Today's victory adds to van Gisbergen's wins at Watkins Glen, Chicago, Sonoma and Mexico City.

He is now one win from tying Jeff Gordon's record of six consecutive road or street course wins (which was set in 1999-2000).

SVG, who already holds the record for most Cup wins by a foreign-born driver, will have his next shot at history in the March 1, 2026 race at Circuit of the Americas.

There are five rounds left in this year's championship, with the next race in Las Vegas next weekend.

Those still in contention for the title heading into the round of eight are Joey Logano, Ryan Blaney, Denny Hamlin, Kyle Larson, Christopher Bell, William Byron, Chase Briscoe and Chase Elliott.
