Valerie Adams has won the shot put title at the Glasgow Commonwealth Games, Radio New Zealand reports.
However, it was a disappointing night for Adams who struggled with her technique and could only manage a winning distance of 19.88 metres, well below her best.
Adams had hoped to break her Games record of 20.47 metres set in Delhi four years ago.
It is her 54th consecutive competition win and third straight Commonwealth Games title.
