SSXUB is the new release from Shapeshifter and The Upbeats, an EP that finds the two electronic music outfits seeking middle ground between their respective brands of bass.

It’s not the first time that Shapeshifter and The Upbeats have worked together, but SSXUB is their first wholly collaborative project, a record that sees the Shifters sidestep the stadium rave of their recent LPs in favour of The Upbeats’ dancefloor focus.

The Upbeats’ Jeremy Glenn and Dylan Jones, and Shapeshifter’s Sam Trevethick and P Digsss talk to Sam Wicks about their new directions in sounds.
