The Ideas of Edward Saïd
Dr Vijay Devadas and Professor John Drummond look at the life and works of one of the leading thinkers of the second half of the 20th century. The influential and sometimes controversial writings of Edward Saïd (1935-2003) cover political and cultural history, literature and music. Amongst many other things, he and Daniel Barenboim founded the West-Eastern Divan, an orchestra of musicians from several Middle East countries.
