Iconic tales of passion and conflict come to life in this concert recording from the Auckland Philharmonia, "Love Stories." Conducted by Antony Hermus, the performance is anchored by Tchaikovsky's sweeping Romeo & Juliet Fantasy-Overture, a piece that perfectly captures the story's feuding families and heart-melting love theme.
Recorded live at the Auckland Town Hall, this concert also includes Glinka’s rollicking Russlan and Ludmilla: Overture and Henk de Vlieger’s "Orchestral Tribute," a 53-minute compilation featuring all the marvellous music from Wagner's epic opera Die Meistersinger.
