The village of Sogi in Samoa has discussed possible legal action with their lawyer over the relocation decision by the government.
The shift is being proposed as the area is regularly flooded.
The village lawyer, Leulua'ialii Tasi Malifa, says the concerns raised a meeting last week have been put in writing and sent to the Prime Minister, Tuila'epa Sa'ilele Malielegaoi.
Leulua'ialii says the time frame of 18 months given to each family to relocate is too short.
He also says the monetary offer by the government won't cover most of the expenses as the cost of living is too high.
A cabinet paper reportedly says each family is being offered 1,500 US dollars if they move.
