Figures released by the New Zealand government show employment rates of Pacific people are at an all time high.
The number of Pacific people in employment increased over 2015 by 12.5 percent to 130,700 people, representing the highest number of Pacific people employed.
The unemployment rate for Pacific people has also dropped to its lowest rate since 2008 from 11.4 percent last year to 9.7 percent currently.
Pacific Peoples Minister Peseta Sam Lotu-Iiga says he is pleased with the figures as Pacific communities have a lot to contribute to the country's economy.
