The removal of containers off the stranded ship Kea Trader near New Caledonia is almost complete.
The vessel ran onto Durand Reef near the island of Mare two months ago on its voyage from French Polynesia to Noumea.
Last month, more than half a million litres of fuel had been pumped out of its tanks, averting the risk of a spillage.
Once the cargo is offloaded an attempt will be made to refloat the brand new vessel.
The accident affected a large number of businesses because supplies failed to arrive on schedule.
It is yet to be established why the ship hit the reef.
