The licensee of the Saipan casino wants to push out the deadline for the completion of the half a billion dollar resort.
Imperial Pacific International is asking for an extension for the 329-room Imperial Pacific Resort and Casino which was due to be completed by the end of August.
A lawyer for for the firm Philip Tydingco told the Commonwealth Casino Commission this is to make sure the completion proceeds in a "safe engineering and constructional manner".
