The Samoa Nurses Association has questioned a police decision to arrest a nurse over the deaths of two babies before post mortem results have been released.
The nurse has been charged with negligence causing death and perverting the cause of justice, after the babies died following immunisations last month.
The association's president, Solialofi Papali'i, said she was confused as to why the nurse had been arrested, and why a second nurse, who apparently administered the vaccine, was not charged as well.
The Commission of Inquiry into the matter was not complete and post mortem results, done by Australian experts, were not even in the country, she said.
Last week the inquest into the deaths was adjourned because the post mortem reports were not available.
