In 2018 there were 200 cases alleging child abuse and neglect reported in the Northern Marianas.

The Division of Youth Services reported these included 49 claims of physical abuse, 45 sexual abuse and 118 emotional abuse allegations.
The figures have been made public as the CNMI marks April as Child Abuse and Neglect Prevention Month.
