The senior French Polynesian doctor charged with sexually assaulting minors has been given home detention while investigations continue.
The former president of French Polynesia's Council of Physicians Gilles Soubiran was freed at the end of last month.
However, the prosecutor appealed the decision, seeking his detention.
Dr Soubiran, who has been wearing an electronic bracelet, has now been told to stay at home.
He was suspended from working in the public health sector last week after resigning from the top position at the Council of Physicians.
Until his suspension he was allowed to treat patients who were not minors.
