A Pacific climate change specialist says there is a groundswell of support for the region's stance at the latest global talks underway in Germany.

SPREP's Espen Ronneberg said Pacific and other vulnerable countries want more funding for climate change action.
He said the talks in Bonn have a sense of urgency, as countries try to limit global warming to 1.5 degrees as set out in the Paris Agreement.
However, Mr Ronneberg said some oil producing nations are still attempting to undermine them.
"The important thing of these international negotiations is that we enable the issues on the ground in the Pacific to be reflected here at the international level and I think the work that we've done over the last few years in strengthening the negotiations capacity of the region are really beginning to bear fruit."
