Mass testing for Covid-19 in Northern Marianas has been temporarily halted to allow for a timely return of results.
The Governor's Covid-19 Taskforce said due to the high volume of work and commendable turnout by residents, it had decided to pause the registration of people for community testing at the Saipan International Airport.
The taskforce hoped this would allow for a timely return of results.
The public will be informed when community-based testing operations were to resume.
As of 7 May, the taskforce said 2,336 people had been processed through 11 days of mass testing.
To date, the effort had identified one positive case to give the CNMI a total of 15 confirmed cases with 12 recoveries and two deaths.
