Vivian Koster has been appointed as Netball Fiji's first ever CEO.
The former Netball Fiji Vice President takes up the role after three years as an independent consultant and more than two decades working in sports administration.
Koster's appointment is part of the Australian Government's 'Pacific Women in Sport Administration' pilot program, which aims to strengthen the governance and administration of Pacific sports organisations and increase the number of women in decision-making and leadership roles.
"I am privileged to be a part of the evolution of Netball Fiji. The new structure is a great achievement for the organisation and I look forward to continuing to grow it from strength to strength," she said.
Koster holds a Post Graduate Diploma in Social Policy and Administration and a Master of Arts from the University of the South Pacific.
Fiji Netball Association President RubyAnn Sorovaki said the appointment of Koster is a "milestone" for the organisation.
"We know with her passion and strategic ambition for netball, Netball Fiji is in good hands."
Sorovaki said that the CEO role will strengthen the governance and growth of the sport.
"Vivian and her team will focus on the operations and programmes of the association allowing the Executive Committee to now concentrate on the overall direction and strategy of netball in Fiji."
The Fiji Netball Association has also appointed Sandeep Prasad as it's Sport Development Manager and Amit Singh as its Finance Administrator.
"We acknowledge funding support we received from the 'Pacific Women in Sport Administration' programme managed by Netball Australia," Sorovaki explained.
"These funds have enabled us to recruit candidates for the three roles to ensure we deliver our strategic plan and more importantly our goals and key result areas."
Mere Lutuciri Williams has also been appointed Acting Secretary of the FNA following the appointment of Lusi Rokoura as Manager of the Fiji Pearls.
