New Zealand's Pacific Access Category (PAC) and Samoa Quota ballots are now open.
Registrations opened on Tuesday, 1 April at 8am (NZDT).
The two longstanding visa categories allow people from the Pacific Island countries to become permanent residents in New Zealand.
Both schemes operate through annual ballots.
According to New Zealand Immigration, up to 1650 Samoan, 250 Tongan, 250 Fijian, 75 Kiribati, and 75 Tuvalu citizens may be granted residence this year.
The 2025 ballots will close on 30 April at 5pm (NZST).
