Tuwhenuaroa Natanahira
Tuwhenuaroa Natanahira (Ngāti Hine, Ngāpuhi, Te Aupōuri) Began his career at Auckland's 95bFM as a newsreader and then moved onto Radio Waatea, Auckland's iwi Radio Station. He was there for three years as a Journalist, Producer, Newsreader and Show Host.
Natanhira moved to RNZ in early 2023, starting as a producer for Morning Report before moving into RNZ's Māori news unit. He’s interested in all things Te Ao Māori but has a particular interest in issues around Māori governance, Māori authorities and tribal entities.
He’s a self-confessed dork with a love of reading fiction, playing video games, swimming, fishing and cooking.
