1:15 Community conservation groups could be in trouble

A major new report has found support for New Zealand's grassroots conservation groups is 'drying up' - threatening to undo gains made to save our threatened species from extinction.

Commissioned by Predator Free New Zealand Trust, the report found that more than 300 groups it surveyed were often having to dig into their own pockets to stay afloat. Jesse talks to Marie Doole from Matakai Environmental.

If you're a regular RNZ Nights listener you may be familiar with today's NZ Live performer. When he isn't busy discussing new music on 'Out Lately' with Emile Donovan he's hard at work making his own. He's released a number of projects over the years including his most recent EP 'What A Way To Make A Living'. And a couple of months back he put out a single with another Kiwi up-and-comer, Ny Oh, called 'We Still Got It', and he'll be performing a brand new song as part of his set today.
