Whanau of Maori Battalion soldiers to receive war medals

The son of a soldier in the Maori Battalion says he was blown away to learn his father never received his war medals. A list of 134 soldiers from the Battalion's C company has been published online, along with a call to their families to come forward and claim their medals. Stephen Priestley, the son of William Priestley, was overwhelmed to see his father's name on the list. He told our reporter Te Aniwa Hurihanganui his father never spoke about his war medals.
