The 51st Pacific Islands Forum is into its second day after getting off to a rocky start with Kiribati's surprise exit from the group. This is the first in-person meeting of the forum in two years, and perhaps its most important ever. China's growing influence in the region features prominently on the agenda, and the spectre of climate change means the forum comes at a critical time. Prime Minister Jacinda Ardern and her Australian counterpart Anthony Albanese arrived in Suva yesterday. Joining Nathan Rarere from Suva is Lice Movono.
