Govt announces interim support payments for AK flood homeowners

The Government has announced interim support payments for homeowners displaced by this year's floods. The assistance is being offered to those having to pay for a private rental because their own properties are red or yellow stickered. For eligible owners, the payment can be backdated to as early as June 1st, and is set at 100 percent of the average rent. In Auckland, those eligible could receive between $330 and $630 dollars a week depending on their family type. We asked three flood-affected homeowners in West Auckland for their thoughts on the announcement.
