Auckland Deputy Mayor on latest sinkhole, sewer collapse
Aucklanders are being warned to avoid all inner city harbour beaches, after a main sewer line collapsed in the suburb of Parnell, leaving a massive sink hole. Watercare says the sink hole is 13 metres deep. And it's the third in the city in recent months. The broken wastewater pipe is part of a sewer that services large parts of central and west Auckland, and that's now blocked. Auckland Deputy Mayor Desley Simpson told Nathan Rarere it's been a stressful couple of days.
