This week on Jazz Footprints we talk to jazz drummer and composer John Rae. Scottish-born, he now resides in Wellington after completing his placement of Composer-In-Residence at Victoria University in 2010. With his father a well-known bass player in Scotland, “music began in the family” and his siblings have all been involved professionally in music. He has a unique perspective on performing and is a founding member of local group ‘The Troubles.’
