Waka Kotahi is warning drivers to prepare for hazardous driving conditions today.
There's been a lot of rain from Northland down to Coromadel. with 100 to 150 mils in the Coromandel ranges and Auckland commuters have been told to be prepared for a possible closure of the Harbour Bridge because of high winds.
As we reported earlier this morning heavy rain,severe gales and snow down to 500 metres is forecast for Canterbury and parts of Otago.
