t's been 14 years since Alison Krauss and Robert Plant collaborated with producer T Bone Burnett and wowed the world with their blues blessed americana tribute album Raising Sand. After an unsuccesful attempt at an intial follow up, they're back, once again teaming up to rework another dozen tracks handpicked and produced by Burnett for the their latest offering Raising the Roof. Music 101's Charlotte Ryan spoke to Krauss and Plant about the belief and joy of recording the new album

Our guest today is rapper Jess B. Part-Kenyan and part-Pākehā, Jess found hip hop while trying to find her place in Aotearoa as a Black woman.
Jess was a professional netballer for years, Playing for the Northern Mystics and then the Central Pulse, and dreaming of being A Silver Fern before she was signed to a record label and started making hip hop for a living.
In just a few short years, JessB has released two acclaimed EPs, New Views and Bloom, taken home 2019’s MTV Europe Music Award for Best New Zealand Act,
She has performed at Venice Biennale, Rhythm & Vines, Northern Bass, Auckland City Limits and Splendour in the Grass. As well as tours with Ladi6, Six60 and Fat Freddy's Drop and supported visiting acts such as Stormzy, YG and Little Simz.
