New Zealand has thirteen city councils but do we actually have that many cities?
What even is a city and how do we define it? According to Clause 16 of Schedule 3 of the Local Government Act 2002, a city council needs a population of at least 50,000.
Nick Brunsdon, Principal Economist and Lead Demographer at Infometrics, joins Emile to talk about who makes the cut.

Ita O'Brien is one of the world's foremost intimacy co-ordinators and author of Intimacy.
In the wake of the Harvey Weinstein scandals and subsequent #MeToo and Time's Up movements, she introduced and developed the "Intimacy On Set Guidelines". Her aim was to help protect actors and actresses and to help producers and directors turn the sex scene into something more professional.
Ita joins Emile to explain how sex can be staged safely for the screen.
