American journalist and author Elizabeth Kolbert has been a staff writer for The New Yorker since 1999, and has written for the New York Times, Vogue and Mother Jones.
She is best known for her 2006 book Field Notes from a Catastrophe, and as an observer and commentator on environmentalism. Her new book is The Sixth Extinction: An Unnatural History (Bloomsbury, ISBN: 9781408851210).
