Andris Apse: Spirit of the South

A selection of images from the new book, Spirit of the South (Penguin, ISBN: 9780143571865), a photographic tribute to the mainland by  Andris Apse. Some photographs are discussed in his interview with Kim Hill on the Saturday Morning programme of 29 November 2014. The book draws from Apse's work of the last thirty years, much previously unpublished, and includes essays by Alison Ballance, Anton Oliver, Fiona Farrell and Kennedy Warne.
