Summer is well and truly here which means there's no longer a need to hide in the gym on the treadmill. Whether your exercise of choice is a road run, boot camp in the park or a bike ride... now is the time to get outside and do it. But if you can't get up early in the morning to beat the sun or complete your workout later in the evening you'll need some tips to exercise safely in the heat. Dr. Carol Ewing Garber is a Professor of Movement Sciences at Columbia University's Teachers College. Our producer Tiffany Salmond spoke with her and asked for the best ways to beat the heat.
