Staff at a managed isolation facility in Auckland are being subjected to "corrective action" and training after a woman walked into the hotel lobby on Tuesday saying she had a booking to stay.

A managed isolation and quarantine spokesperson said the booking at the Novotel Auckland Airport Hotel was made on 29 May through a third party provider and was cancelled on 10 July - but the woman said she had not been told.
The spokesperson said the woman explained her situation at the security fence.
A guard took her details, ensured she was wearing a mask, and directed her to reception to speak with hotel staff.
The spokesperson said CCTV footage has confirmed she did not touch anything or come into contact with guests while in the hotel's lobby.
She sanitised before leaving.
Health authorities said the public health risk was low and the person had been advised to to monitor their health for 14 days as a precaution.
