Flights have been delayed at Queenstown Airport after an engineering issue was found with one of the planes.
A spokesperson for the airport said the fault was found on Monday morning and it resulted in emergency services being called to the airport as a precaution.
"The plane was preparing for departure when the issue arose," the spokesperson said.
This forced the plane to return to its gate and passengers had to disembark.
Emergency services had been stood down, the spokesperson said and the airfield was open but there were delays to some flights.
