Two people have been arrested after a two-hour police helicopter chase from Auckland to Cambridge.
Police said they spotted a stolen vehicle as it travelled south from Onehunga about 11.15am.
The helicopter kept track of it as it failed to stop for officers on the ground and continued on State Highway 1 to Cambridge.
A police spokesperson said the vehicle was spiked near the Waikato Expressway but kept going - driving the wrong way down the expressway.
It eventually came to a stop at a dead-end road and the two occupants were arrested.
