The Greens have lost another staffer just a few weeks after their chief of staff resigned.

The party's chief of staff Eliza Prestidge-Oldfield resigned last month "to focus on her health, wellbeing and whānau".

At the time, co-leader Marama Davidson said Prestidge-Oldfield had decided to step away from the position after "careful consideration".

"This has not been an easy decision for her to make, given the huge contribution that Eliza has made to the Green Party over many years," Davidson said.

On Friday afternoon, the Greens' director of communications Louis Day announced he was resigning from his role to take a break before finding a new challenge for his career.

The exits come after a turbulent term - coloured by scandal and tragedy - for the party.
