An outraged University of Auckland student has formed a Facebook group to protest the large number of liberal arts courses not available in 2014. Though there are not yet specifics about how many papers have been cut, or why, scrolling through the university’s course catalogue for subjects like art history, classics, history and political studies suggests that both undergraduate and postgraduate students’ choices for next year will be limited. “I don't know how Auckland Uni can be getting away with cutting...its liberal arts (not even kidding) without any fuss,” tweeted @nerdyjewishgirl, the page’s founder. The university hasn’t yet responded to the complaints.
Planning the rest of my degree and it looks like I'm going to be enrolling in 'Not offered in 2014' #excited
