NSW Premier Gladys Berejiklian encouraged residents to continue getting vaccinated.

Sixty-seven percent of NSW residents have had their first dose of Covid-19 vaccinations

"While a 70 percent double dose gives those of us vaccinated freedoms, 80 percent double dose allows us to look at international travel, welcoming home all Australians." Berejiklian said.

The deaths were of a woman in her 50s with underlying health conditions, and two men aged in their 80s and 90s who died in hospital.

The state's chief health officer Dr Kerry Chant said 143 people were in intensive care and 58 of them required ventilation.

There have been 96 Covid-related deaths in the state since 16 June.

Victoria

Victoria has recorded 76 new locally acquired Covid-19 cases, as health officials consider the restrictions that will remain when lockdown is extended on Thursday.

Contact tracers have linked 45 of the new cases to existing outbreaks.

Health authorities say the number of cases who were in quarantine while infectious will be revealed later.

There are more than 1000 exposure sites across Victoria, with a construction site at Fishermans Bend and several apartment buildings in Melbourne among recent additions.
