Two hat-tricks scored by two individual players sent the Fiji Bati and Fiji Bulikula marching on with hopes of getting into the top positions in the Pacific Bowls competition.

The PNG Kumuls romped to a 22-10 win over the Fijian Bati, while Fetu Samoa kept their 2026 Women's Rugby League World Cup dream alive with a 30-16 win over Tonga in Suva.

Four teams, two men's and two women's sides, will feature at the National Stadium in Suva.

The PNG Kumuls will tackle the Fijian Bati in the opening men's match, while the Samoans face Tonga in an all Polynesia battle.

Fiji Bati players have threatened to boycott future rugby league Tests after claiming they have yet to be paid for making last year's World Cup semi-final.
