Rough sex is becoming normalised in pop culture, and more common in real life - whether or not people want to take part.

Non-fatal strangulation could soon become a separate crime to assault with the Law Commission recommending the move, and the government backing it.

New Zealand is expected to follow other countries in making non-fatal strangulation a crime separate to assault, but only one person is doing training on how to gather evidence.
