Fiji's Prime Minister, Frank Bainimarama, says he will attend this year's Pacific Islands Forum leaders meeting in Tuvalu.
Mr Bainimarama has not attended any of the annual forum leaders summits since his country was suspended from the regional organisation in 2009.
Although the suspension was lifted in 2014, Fiji's leader boycotted subsequent meetings, saying Australia and New Zealand had too much influence in the grouping.
However the FBC reported the prime minister had confirmed he would attend the Tuvalu meeting in August and was offering for Fiji to host the forum summit in 2021.
